The Divine Economics Expo 2020 is a mega event that is going to be hosted by Department of Islamic Economy & Banking (DEIB) and Kashmir Institute of Economics (KIE) University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir on from February 18-22, 2020. School of Economics (SOE) Quaid-i-Azam University and Applied Economics Research Center (AERC) University of Karachi will be partly collaborating for the event and assisted by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The event is continuation of the series of workshops, seminars, interactive sessions and distinguished lectures held during current and last year under the project jointly carried out by SOE & KIE.

Economists, Researchers, MPhil/PhD scholars interested in Multidimensional Islamic Social Sciences from all over the country are participating in the Divine economics conference and other events of DE-Expo 2020.

This grand event will be organized to fulfill one of the important objective that is capacity building of ongoing Divine Economics project on Multidimensional Wellbeing in Pakistan assisted by higher education commission of Pakistan. The event is comprised of one and half day conference, distinguished lectures, interactive sessions and workshops on qualitative and quantitative module and other side events. The conference includes presentations of different scholars on the theme of Multidisciplinary Economics and Multidimensional Wellbeing, Values, National Harmony and Divine Economics. Other than conference presentations, there are three distinguished lectures on Pakistan economy, Nisab-e-Pakistan and Islamic Banking in Pakistan.
Pre/Post Conference Workshops
2-Day Workshop on Panel Data and Modelling of Multidimensional Wellbeing is scheduled for January 7-8, 2020. The post conference days include workshops on qualitative and quantitative modules.
One-Day Workshop on qualitative research in multidisciplinary economics contains discussion on mix method research and use of software i.e. NVIVO in the first half. NVIVO. Research methods like content analysis, case studies, focus group discussions and literature review will be included. The second half of this module will cover analysis techniques using STATA.
3-Day Workshop on quantitative economics /Applied Econometrics consist of training on time series econometrics approaches such as ARDL, DHSY, General to Specific modeling and Non-nesting Encompassing using OXMETRIX software. The side events comprised of sessions on presentations of MPhil/PhD scholars, Launching of Books and Reports, Research show casing, Kashmir exhibition, Spiritual evening, Sightseeing and Information desk on Islamic Economy and Banking and thesis writing sessions extendable to 5 th day. Accomodation in Muzaffarabad
The presenters, session chairs and discussants shall be officially provided shared accomodation.
For other participants, Government/private Guest Houses and hotels are available in Muzaffarabad Capital city on reasonable rates. If you confirm about your arrival, the conference team can book your shared or independent accommodation on negotiated [very low] rates.
Publish your work in recognized journal
The full papers fulfilling the criteria shall be published in HEC recognized journals which include but not limited to Pakistan Journal of Applied Economics -AERC and Kashmir Economic Review -UAJK.

Discounted Fee and payment mode
The total fee for all events is Rs. 6,500 but if you are nominated by a government department or public/private university, then you can register for all events at a discounted fee of Rs. 5000. The Fee can be deposited through online bank transfer OR easypaisa or may be deposited as cash on-spot. We also expect a limited number of sponsorships by those who value the cause of Divine Economics. However, for sponsorships, you must confirm your paricipation as early as possible.
